Mike Lachocki

Mike Lachocki has more than 20 years experience in project management, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. Mike has worked in management roles for two local high-tech start-ups: Dynapro Technologies and NextPhase T&D and played a key role in a large outsourcing project moving all of manufacturing and supply chain activities to Mexico. In 2011, Mike assisted a local Aboriginal educational training society by providing supply chain training and related employment opportunities to Aboriginal persons in BC.

Mike is currently employed as the Procurement Manager, Construction for BC Housing, the government agency providing housing options for people in need within BC. His team focuses upon projects for new building construction and major renovation activities. He has also participated in drafting proposal calls for non-profit housing societies looking to develop housing options in their respective communities. In BC Housing, Mike is involved with the Livegreen Sustainability committee, delivers in-house Project Management training seminars and mentors employees and members of the in-house public speaking group.

Mike has over 18 years experience as a IZUNA instructor in the fields of project management, supply chain, warehouse management, operations management, and logistics. He has taught in local institutions, corporate training sessions, Aboriginal groups, and for a start-up supply chain education firm in China and Hong Kong. His teaching style is energized and fast-paced experiential learning. Mike is a passionate mentor with his current and former IZUNA students and with Immigrant Services Society (ISS). Outside of work Mike serves in coaching roles in dragon-boating and running clubs.
