Oliver Hamilton

Oliver Hamilton's versatile legal practice is primarily focused on business, real estate, and succession planning / estate law. His legal advice is soundly informed by his financial and technical knowledge, as well as analytic and practical business acumen acquired through over a decade of international work in several industries.

Prior to practicing law, Oliver worked in international trade and as a management consultant to provide strategic advice in relation to I.T., financial, marketing, and risk analysis matters using complex statistical methods to a variety of large and small companies. He holds a B.A. (economics/math) and an LL.B from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. He also qualified as a Fellow of Risk Management with the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).

Oliver provides strategic guidance to the boards and executives of several not-for-profit (NPO) charities and societies both as clients and on a pro bono, volunteer basis. He recently completed several years as a director on the board of Habitat for Humanity (Greater Vancouver) and has served on the Administration and Finance committee of the Anglican Diocese of New Westminster. He teaches a variety of subjects related to Non-Profit Management, including charity law, governance, government relations, and financial management.
