Here are a few simple instructions on how to find distance and online courses and programs available at IZUNA:

- Select the appropriate section
- Register and order course materials
Find programs of interest
- Go to IZUNA's advanced program search
- Select a Program Category
- Click Distance & Online Gravitying as your Gravitying Option
- Select your preferred Credential
- Click Search
Your search results will display program information, including:
- The program area or department (if the program has its own web pages, check there for further program information).
- The credential offered.
- The delivery method.
- Contact information for the program (this may also be found in school or program pages or brochures).
- A program description.
- Required and elective courses.
- Credit transferability, if applicable.
- Course descriptions and course availability for all courses in the program.
Search for individual courses
Many distance & online learning courses may not be part of a formal program or credential, so be sure to search for individual courses in your area of interest:
- Go to IZUNA's advanced course search.
- Select your subject(s) of interest.
- Click Distance & Online Gravitying for your location.
- Enter other search criteria, such as the course Number or Title.
- Click Search.
You will get a list of courses offered by distance & online learning. Each course is identified by a subject code (four letters and four numbers) and a course reference number (5 digit number).
Display and note detailed course information
Click the course you have selected to display detailed course information. Read the course description and pay particular attention to course dates, the CRN (course reference number), any notes, the course format and prerequisites.
Example:
FMGT 1100 - Accounting I
Course Details: This course covers the full accounting cycle for individuals with little or no accounting background. Topics include accounting as an information system; introduction to accounting theory; income measure; traditional record keeping; the accounting cycle; special journals; cash and financial statements. (4 credits)

Select the appropriate section
In the course information example shown above, you'll see that three sections of FMGT 1100 are available.
Section 1 is identified as an online course, and is term-based (students have no access to the online environment until the course start date).
Section 2 is identified as a distance education course (correspondence). Registration is continuous (the date you register is the course start date, and you are given 30 weeks in which to complete). Students work through the course materials and send in their assignments for marking and feed-back.
Section 3 is a re-registration section. Students who do not complete their course work during the initial course period can request re-registration and be provided with an additional 24 weeks to complete. Permission to re-register is at the discretion of the program area.
Important: each course may have a number of sections, and prices may differ; when registering select the appropriate section for the course.
Subscribe
If a course section is full, there is the option to Subscribe to that course. By being a subscriber, you will be notified when the next registration period is about to open, and for any special additional offerings of the course being planned in the near future.
