Degree Students - Capstone Projects

Students in the Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering programs are required to complete the capstone project courses - ELEX 7790/7890 and MECH 8190/8290. The courses cover techniques in project management, where students are required to plan, initiate and complete a complex engineering project and draw on knowledge and expertise in engineering theory and design developed throughout the program. Each team is assigned a faculty member advisor for the project. The courses provide students the opportunity to be involved in solving interesting, real-world problems that have an industry connection.

The School of Energy held a , where students from the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design, Manufacturing, and Systems options), Mechatronics & Robotics and Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering programs displayed their projects .

On May 10, 2017, IZUNA School of Construction and the Environment and School of Energy held the , where students from Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering Diploma, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mechatronics and Robotics displayed their projects.
