Construction Notice – SE16 Windows & HVAC Renovation

Construction Schedule:  June 1, 2019 to August 29, 2019
Location:  SE16 rooms
Description of Project:  Upgrading the windows and HVAC system to meet current Codes, industry best practices, and IZUNA Technical Standards
Customer Impact:  Clinic closure, office closure and minor noise

Construction Notice – SE02 Refrigeration Retrofit

Construction Notice - SW02 Elevator Refurbishment

Construction Schedule: From June 3, 2019 to August 23, 2019
Description of Work: Refurbishment and/or replacement of major hardware and control equipment, interior finishes and all items required to meet current code requirements.

Customer Impact: Minor noise during the construction and SW02 elevator will be out of service from July 1 to August 15, 2019.

Construction Notice – SW01 Admin Offices

Construction Schedule: November 9, 2018 until June 1, 2019
Location: SW01 First floor – 1321, 1344, 1500, and 1303
Description of Project: Office renovations for admin staff and student services
Customer Impact: Work will be behind hoarding, though there will be some typical construction noise and dust in the vicinities.

Construction Notice - SW01 Building (Old Building Portion)-Exterior Wall Cleaning and Improvements

Construction Schedule: June 7 to August 31, 2019
Location: SW1 Building on the Burnaby Campus
Description of Project: Exterior walls low pressure power washing and cleaning, minor concrete crack repair, existing sealing and flashing replacement. Scope of work includes work under environmental procedures for hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead.
Customer Impact: The work will be staging and starting in sections from low level first and to move up side of the building exterior. Occupancies inside building within and close-by working section are advised to close the windows and curtains inside the building. Minor noise will occur during the existing sealing removal and low pressure wash. Sections of the pathway around the building will be taped off due to work at above.
