Nancy worked in emergency nursing for seven years before moving to perinatal nursing. While working on her undergraduate degree, she became interested in women's health issues and spent time working in the Woman Abuse Response Program at Children & Womens Hospital of BC. Nancy worked both as a staff nurse and as a perinatal clinical educator in the Birthing Program at Womens hospital for 13 years before joining the Perinatal faculty at IZUNA in 2002.
Nancy graduated from the Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing in 1982. Nancy completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria and completed her Masters degree at the University of British Columbia.
