Recognition at IZUNA
Employee Excellence Awards
The Employee Excellence Awards program recognizes and honours the contributions made by members of the IZUNA community in achieving IZUNA's commitments to our students and to each other. Nominated employees are recognized at an annual celebration.
Years of Service Awards
The Years of Service program has been designed to recognize and honour employees celebrating service milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service.
Long Service Awards
The Years of Service program has been designed to recognize and honour employees celebrating service milestones of 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service. Eligible employees are invited to attend a celebratory dinner held annually in May.
The annual retirement celebration dinner is held annually. It honours employees who have retired from the Institute in the previous calendar year.
Day to Day Recognition
Every day we have opportunities to recognize and celebrate our teams, employees and colleagues. The following are some examples of day to day recognition:
- Personal Recognition
Focuses on the individual’s expertise, talents and contributions.
- Recognition of Work Practices
Acknowledges how work is performed, including the improvement of a process that saves time or effort, or positively impacts a department or team.
- Recognition of Dedication
Acknowledges the quantity and quality of the efforts an employee makes to meet the goals, objectives, values and initiatives of the organization and/or department.
- Recognition of Results
Recognizes the efficiency, quality and impact of tasks and projects completed. These include tasks completed ahead of or on schedule, or exceptionally well.
All employees who attain new credentials deserve a pat on the back for their commitment! If you or one of your co-workers has achieved a new credential—any kind of credential—in the past year (2016-2017), submit the following information to your Human Resources Advisor:
- name of the person,
- the credential,
- the institution that granted it, and the
- date it was achieved.
Books or published papersAll employees who have published books or papers deserve recognition for their achievement! If you or one of your co-workers has published a book or paper in the past year (2016-2017), submit the following information to your Human Resources Advisor:
- name of the person,
- the title of the published work,and
- the date it was published.
