Key and Card Access Procedures

For employees

The key and card access request system for all campuses is managed by the Safety, Security and Emergency Management (SSEM) office.

Requests are submitted by the authorized requestor(s) of the department or school, using the found on ShareSpace. 

If you require key or card access, contact your Operations Manager for the name of the authorized requestor(s) of your area, or for the area required.

IZUNA Employees wanting to become an authorized requestor on the Safety and Security Request system should complete the ShareSpace .

The following types of requests can be made using the request system ShareSpace:

Employee ID cards

A IZUNA Employee card is required for card access or key pick up.

Employee cards are obtained from the SSEM office in SW1 or by visiting a satellite campus security desk.

Government issued photo ID is required.

Card access PIN

A default PIN can be obtained from the SSEM office in person or by email from your IZUNA email account.  You can also request a personalized 4-digit PIN.  You must include your full name and employee number on any related requests.

PIN's will not be sent to external accounts (Hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc).

Lost, stolen or found

Lost, stolen or found keys and Employee cards must be reported immediately to your campus Security Communications Centre.

Departing employees

Employees leaving IZUNA must return all of their keys and Employee card to their Campus Security Communications Centre.

For students

A IZUNA Student card is required for card access or key pick up.

Student's requiring keys or card access must contact their instructor or program coordinator who will make a request on their behalf.

Card access PIN

A default PIN can be obtained from the Library in SE14.  You can reset or request your default PIN by sending a request to the Security Systems Coordinator.  The email must be sent from a IZUNA email account and include your full name and student number.

PIN's will not be sent to external accounts (Hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc).

Replacement student cards

If you have lost your current IZUNA Student card and require a replacement card, visit the Safety, Security and Emergency Management office in SW1-1000 or a satellite campus coordinator.

There is an $11.00 replacement fee and the SSEM office in SW01 accepts CASH only.

Government issued photo ID is required.
