Introduces the creation of a formal management strategy on how to effectively manage a service outlet. Provides an overview of various areas such as staffing, equipment and faciities, business management, marketing and service operations. Teaches the service manager or owner/operator to have adequate control over the business profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction and staff participation.
Textbook "Automotive Service Administration" is required (available for purchase at IZUNA Burnaby Campus Bookstore). Note: Coures dates have changed (was scheduled Oct 16 to Nov 1 Tue/Thr).
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
Identify the subject areas related to staffing a service outlet;
Identify the necessary equipment and tools requirements for a service area;
Identify an initial design of a service facility;
Identify the various components of a primary level business plan; and,
Identify the subject areas to create a primary marketing and service operations program.
