When applying for any type of on- air position in broadcast you will be expected to provide a 3-5 minute sequential and professional sounding demo that simulates how you would sound on the radio. Various types demos are required for the many different types of on-air positions that exist within broadcast, for example music radio, news reporting, news reading, traffic, entertainment, etc. This course will ensure that the student is able to record a professional (industry standard) 3 -5 minute demo while learning the logic & reasoning behind the how, what, when, where and why of creating a successful demo. This course will also demonstrate the various steps required when submitting the completed demo to potential employers. Besides hands-on training, this course will include guest speakers from industry who are Program Directors, News Directors, Sports Directors and Traffic Directors.
