Covers the techniques and methods used in managing and organizing the details of pre-production, production and post-production activities in a studio or location television or video production. Students acquire skills in budgeting, production, scheduling, crewing and other elements of successful productions. This course is creditable to Television day school.

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
Plan all the elements necessary to guarantee that the production will meet the professional standards of the television and/or video production industries.
Organize and conduct meetings as the Producer and/or Director of a proposed production.
Organize production company objectives.
Research the requirements for producing a video for a potential client.
Negotiate the terms of a client production.
Analyze time management and budget for a production.
Develop the production book.
Design communication log forms.
Write production scripts.
Design story boards.
Draft production contracts.
Identify the chronological communications patterns between their production company, the client and all related sub-contractors.
Demonstrate effective presentation skills.
Communicate positive and constructive evaluation of peer production company projects.
