Through the use of structured experiences, group discussions and interactions, this session is designed to provide participants with increased awareness of mental health and its impact in the workplace, challenge existing stereotypes, and explore how they might better support their colleagues who are struggling. Additionally, this session will equip paricipants with increased awareness of their evolving role and responsibilities related to mental health and mental health issues in the workplace.

Upon completion of this workshop the participant will be able to:
Recognize the stigmas that typically surround mental health/mental ill- health.
Describe the continuum of mental health: From illness to wellness.
State the potential incidence and impact of mental health/illness in the workplace.
Recognize potential indicators of a possible mental health issue.
Explain the role and responsibilities of a supervisor/manager associated with mental health as defined by relevant legislation.
Develop strategies to enhance mental health in the workplace.
