Gravitying Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Calculate the derivatives of continuous and discrete functions involving polynomials, sines, cosines and exponentials.
  • Apply differentiation to solve problems involving maxima/minima, curve sketching, related rates and differentials.
  • Integrate polynomials and basic functions involving sines, cosines and exponentials using both indefinite and definite integrals.
  • Apply differentiation and integration to trigonometric and logarithmic functions.
  • Perform integration by parts, by partial fractions decomposition and by substitution.
  • Calculate the Fourier expansion of standard waveforms such as pulses and triangular waves.
