This course provides comprehensive coverage of the project planning and control processes from project initiation to execution. It provides proven strategies and tools for project selection, project definition, scope definition, work breakdown, activity definition, task sequencing, task duration estimating, schedule creation, task cost estimating, and budget creation along with techniques to monitor and control project performance, and manage client expectations. Participants learn management tools to create the project plan, create the project baselines, and techniques to maintain control using change control systems. Hand-on and team exercises are used to demonstrate these techniques which are applied on case study projects and practical learning activities. Instruction and industry examples of these methodologies are provided in an interactive format. 15 PDU credits from the Project Management Institute (PMI) are earned.
