Provides the mathematical knowledge required to move into the more advanced business math courses, especially Calculus for Management. Topics include linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, polynomials, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, sequences and series. Applications to economics and finance are used.
This course is restricted to students accepted or conditionally accepted into the BBA Degree program in the School of Business. For registration approval, please email Thomas Turniawan at [email protected] with your student ID. This is an online class, but the final exam will be held at the Burnaby campus.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
Apply fundamental mathematical functions to business and financial problems.
Understand the use of these functions in other courses, particularly economics and calculus.
