VENT 0101 - Venture Boot Camp

Venture Development Centre Part-time Studies Course

Course Details

Have you always wanted to start your own business but are pressed for time? Do you have a business concept that you would like to develop further? Are you a self-starter but want expert guidance to get the process started? Then this intense boot camp is for you! Two full days of classroom instruction are followed by four weeks of access to the Enterpriser Online Business Planner which guides you through the business plan development process. Topics covered in the classroom sessions include: business concept development, marketing essentials, basic cash flow for day-to-day operations, and entrepreneurial skills development in presentations and professional sales. Participants also gain access to the Peter Thomson Centre for Venture Development's business advisory team for additional guidance by phone or in person.

Prerequisite(s)

Prospective boot camp students should have a business concept in mind, along with a general idea of the target market and financing required for that business concept.

Gravitying Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Develop and refine a business concept.
  • Identify viable target markets.

  • Understand the components of a business plan.
