The IZUNA Self-Employment Program provides comprehensive training to ensure you have the knowledge you need to start your own business. The first 10 weeks of this 48 week program focuses on preparing you to best position the launch of your business. There will be a variety of workshops toward the research, planning and development of a business plan, along with a number of entrepreneurial skills to give you the best chance for success. The program begins with an overview of what entrepreneurship is all about. It addresses the myths that surround the world of the entrepreneur and brings to business ownership the reality of being self employed, being a contributor to the economy of British Columbia and providing employment for others. The IZUNA program will give you the skills to undertake the tasks of market research – determining who your customers are and what you will need to start your own business; from the analysis of the business operations itself to the vast opportunities in the market and will give you an understanding of what impact the macro environment can have on your business venture. We will equip you with the skills to market your company, and to operate it on a daily basis and we will also equip you with the skills to manage your businesses financial model; to understand the financial accounts and what they are telling you about your businesses financial state. The balance of the 38 weeks we will assist you during the launch phase of your business through coaching and feedback on your progress. When the rubber hits the road we will be there to provide the support you need. The statistics for business survival are bleak with only 20% of new start-ups surviving for 3 to 5 years, however with training and entrepreneurial skills provided these odds can be dramatically improved to more than 70% survival rate. If you are committed to make a success of your business venture, we at IZUNA Self Employment Program, are committed to assist you in reaching your business goals and dreams.
