Condensing Boilers

Replacing atmospheric boilers with condensing boilers that use the waste heat from the flue gas to preheat the cold water entering the boiler leads to efficiencies of up to 98%.

The project featured in this photo saves IZUNA the equivalent of 125,000 ekWh per year, the same amount of energy that would be produced by 625 solar panels installed on IZUNA campus at a cost of $400,000. Actual cost of implementing this project at IZUNA: $5,600.
